Sacrifical Objects

Small, often shrine-like installations placed in undisclosed locations and left to chance. The placement of these objects plays an important role in their meaning and symbolic affect. All of the sites chosen for this project are natural areas highly impacted by anthropogenic activity: human foot traffic, illicit waste disposal, or industrial pollution. There is often a written element, evident only when the objects are handled.
